All our new Timber to Steel self drill screws have Torx drive which gives a much better positive drive. All have a Ruspert minimum 500 hour SST coating
Wings positioned just after the drill point ream a clearance hole through the timber preventing thread engagement. These wings break off when they come into contact with the steel.
Minimum thickness of steel 1.5mm to ensure wings break off.
