8mm (5/16") standard hexagon washer head fastener.
Fasteners have a reduced point and are designed to give a high clamping force when fixing (stitching) sheets together. Not suitable for sheet to rail they will jam up.
These fasteners have a minimum 500hr SST coating. Link below.
Use a washer to seal head of fastener (make watertight) as an isolator, or to increase pullover value. A washer must be fitted if a colour cap is to be used. A washer is also a good indicator of over/under driving which can cause failure.
Use a purpose made screwgun for installation. Cordless drivers and drill drivers are ideal with torque set fairly high on a high speed and in driver mode. Please note: Impact drivers should not be used under any circumstance and automatically voids any warranties.
